- 5. Atmospheric moisture that has changed from a gas to a liquid. Often happens when warm water vapor becomes cold.
- 7. Any form of water (rain, slow, hail, etc) falling to earth from the sky.
- 8. The state of the atmosphere at a place and time with regard to temperature, cloudiness, dryness, sunshine, wind, rain, etc. Example: It is sunny outside.
- 10. A place that is warm and wet year round. Also describes all places within the “Tropical” zone of Earth (near equator) by latitude.
- 11. A climate that is mild or free from extremes. Also describes the “middle zone” of climates by latitude.

- 1. A measure of how far above sea level a place is. Similar to "Altitude"
- 2. an imaginary line around the Earth forming a great circle that divides the Earth into North and South.
- 3. a measure of how far from the prime meridian at Greenwich a place is, measures in East or West. Longitude lines run perpendicular to the Equator.
- 4. A graph that summarizes the climate of an area by showing the annual (yearly) cycle of temperature and precipitation for a geographical location.
- 6. A shortage of rainfall.
- 9. The mass of air surrounding the Earth.
- 12. The average weather conditions prevailing in an area over a long period of time.
- 14. rainy season, often causing regular flooding.
- 15. a measurement of the distance from the equator. Given in North or South. Latitude lines run parallel to the Equator.
