9.0 DSM-5-TR Criteria
Across
- 2. (Chronic) Motor or Vocal Tic Disorder/Single or multiple motor or vocal tics have been present during the illness, but not both motor and vocal.
- 4. Tic Disorder/Single or multiple motor and/or vocal tics.
- 6. Onset is before age 18 years.
- 8. Disorder/Both multiple motor and one or more vocal tics have been present at some time during the illness, although not necessarily concurrently.
Down
- 1. Disorder/The tics may wax and wane in frequency but have persisted for more than 1 year since first tic onset.
- 3. Movement Disorder/The repetitive motor behavior is not attributable to the physiological effects of a substance or neurological condition and is not better explained by another neurodevelopmental or mental disorder (e.g., trichotillomania [hair-pulling disorder], obsessive-compulsive disorder).
- 5. Tic Disorder/The tics have been present for less than 1 year since first tic onset.
- 7. Movement Disorder/The repetitive motor behavior interferes with social, academic, or other activities and may result in self-injury.
