6. A number that does not change, it keeps it’s value.
8. Tells us that we can multiply each of the numbers/variables inside brackets by the number in front, to find the answer.
10. The little number up beside a number or variable, that tells you how many times to multiply it by ITSELF.
12. A symbol or letter that represents an UNKNOWN value.

1. This ALWAYS has an ‘equals’ sign, and both sides of the ‘=’ have the same value.
2. Where the GROUPINGS of numbers being multiplied or added can change without affecting the result.
3. Where the order of numbers being multiplied or added can change without affecting the result.
4. This is the number right in front of a variable.
5. This is the OPPOSITE pf the operation being used, which can help us solve an equation.
7. This is a number, a variable, or a combo of both, and is separated from others by an Operator. The name for the symbol of the maths ‘action’ that is being done; adding, subtractings, multiplying or dividing.
9. This stays the same when being added to ZERO or multiplied by ONE.
11. This is 1 or more TERMS. It does NOT have an ‘equals’ sign or 2 sides & does NOT need solving.
