6. IV anesthetic, used in vet med, don't see pronounced respiratory depression
9. pathway: unprotonated drug gets into membrane then into cytoplasm where becomes protonated and then enters channel
11. anesthetics used for minor surgery, inhibit signal transduction in localized area
12. application of lipid soluble anesthetic to nose, mouth, or bronchial tree lining
13. IV anesthetic, most common, barbituate
14. inhalation anesthetic, used in obstetrics on own or in combination with O2
15. IV anesthetic, less cardiovascular depression

10. IV anesthetic, not used as much, less safe
