- 2. A single timeline.
- 6. Video/Image Width vs Height. The most common aspect ratio is 16:9.
- 9. A tool used to warp certain points of a video or image.
- 13. A single image taken from a video.
- 15. A file used to help with the process of Motion Design. Common assets include textures, sound effects, and background plates.
- 18. Connecting a layer’s transformation data to another layer.
- 20. A layer that affects all of the layers below it in the timeline. An effect applied to an adjustment layer will adjust all of the layers underneath.
- 21. To smooth. Usually referring to the smoothing of a keyframe.
- 22. Removing or isolating an object from a video sequence. One of the most tedious tasks in Motion Design.
- 23. The process of storytelling through movement.
- 24. A transparent sheet of film material that can be drawn on, used in the production of cartoons.

- 1. An animation software designed to automate lip-syncing and facial expressions in real-time.
- 3. A visual script that outlines a video’s key components.
- 4. A character or object that has been setup for animation.
- 5. The point around which transformations will happen.
- 7. A tool that can be applied to an object or layer to manipulate the way it looks or interacts in a timeline.
- 8. The tool used to indicate your video’s point in time.
- 10. The place in which layers and keyframes are added and adjusted.
- 11. The process of interpreting the data between two keyframes.
- 12. Alpha channels tell your video software how opaque (transparent) the pixels in your video should be. They are usually used when a video or image is inserted over other video/image assets.
- 14. Digital files used to enhance a Motion Graphic sequences.
- 16. The number of frames shown for each second of a video.
- 17. Short for Storyboards. Boards are still designs that outline the general design of a Motion Graphic sequence.
- 19. A specific value in time. A cornerstone feature in modern animation softwares.
