2. foul that may or may not be premeditated and is not based solely on the severity of the act. Include, but are not limited to: Contact that neutralizes an opponent’s obvious advantageous position. Contact away from the ball with an opponent who is clearly not involved with a play. Contact that is not a legitimate attempt to play the ball/player specifically designed to stop the clock or keep it from starting. Excessive contact with an opponent while the ball is live or until an airborne shooter returns to the floor. e. Contact with a thrower-in as in 9-2-10 Penalty 4.

1. Touches the ball or any part of the basket (including the net) while the ball is on or within either basket.
3. a player foul which involves illegal contact with an opponent while the ball is live, which hinders an opponent from performing normal defensive and offensive movements. Also includes contact by or on an airborne shooter when the ball is dead.
4. one who is barred from further participation in the game because of having committed his/her fifth foul (personal and technical), two technical fouls or a flagrant foul.
6. illegal personal contact which impedes the progress of an opponent with or without the ball.
8. when a player in control of the ball in his/her team’s frontcourt, is continuously guarded by any opponent who is within six feet of the player who is holding or dribbling the ball.

11. When a player of the team is in control. While a live ball is being passed among teammates. During an interrupted dribble. When a player of the team has disposal of the ball for a throw-in.
