  1. 2. All your fortresses are like fig trees with first-ripe figs – if shaken they fall into the mouth of the eater.

  14. 25. You have sown much, and harvested little; you eat, but you never have enough; you drink, but you never have your fill; you clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and you that earn wages earn wages to put them into a bag with holes.
  15. 29. I cleansed them… and established the duties of the priests and Levites
  16. 31. Do not press me to leave you or to turn back from following you! Where you go, I will go; where you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God.
  17. 32. But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an everflowing stream.
  18. 33. Go, lie down; and if he calls you, you shall say, “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.”
  19. 34. You shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD
  20. 35. The steadfast love on the Lord never ceases
  21. 36. but for me and my household, we will serve the Lord

  1. 1. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge
  2. 3. See, I am sending my messenger to prepare the way before me, and the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple. The messenger of the covenant in whom you delight – indeed he is coming, says the Lord of hosts.
  3. 5. Come, let us return to the Lord, for it is he who has torn, and he will heal us.
  4. 6. Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might…
  5. 7. God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good!
  6. 9. Elisha picked up the mantle of Elijah
  7. 12. in those days the people did what was right in their own eyes.
  8. 14. He has told you, I mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
  9. 17. Who knows? Perhaps you have come to royal dignity for such a time as this.
  10. 21. For I know that my Redeemer lives
  11. 23. Remember your creator in the days of your youth before the days of trouble come and the years draw near when you will say I have no pleasure in them.
  12. 24. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
  13. 26. Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, able to discern between good and evil, for who can govern your great people.
  14. 27. And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the LORD, “For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever... And all the people responded with a great shout…
  15. 28. The Lord, your God, is in your midst… he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will renew you in his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
  16. 30. The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel
