- 7. The bony prominence on the inside of the ankle, formed by the lower end of the tibia.
- 8. A deep calf muscle located beneath the gastrocnemius that helps point the foot downward, especially during standing and walking.
- 13. A fibrous joint where bones are connected by ligaments. In the ankle, it refers to the ligaments connecting the tibia and fibula above the ankle joint.
- 14. A deformity in which the big toe angles toward the second toe, often associated with a bunion.
- 17. A bone in the ankle that connects the leg bones to the foot and helps transfer body weight during standing and movement.
- 18. The large, superficial calf muscle that helps point the foot downward and bend the knee.
- 19. The bottom or sole of the foot.
- 21. A bony growth that develops on the heel bone, sometimes associated with repetitive stress or plantar fasciitis.
Down

- 2. The bony prominence on the outside of the ankle, formed by the lower end of the fibula.
- 3. A deformity in which a toe bends downward at its middle joint, creating a hammer-like appearance.
- 4. toenail A condition in which the edge of a toenail grows into the surrounding skin, causing pain, redness, or swelling.
- 6. A condition caused by compression of the posterior tibial nerve as it passes through the tarsal tunnel on the inside of the ankle, potentially causing pain, tingling, or numbness in the foot.
- 9. Exercise-related pain along the shinbone, commonly associated with repetitive running, jumping, or other impact activities.
- 10. A fracture of the fifth metatarsal bone, located on the outer side of the foot, near its base.
- 11. Irritation and degeneration of the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue along the bottom of the foot, often causing heel pain.
- 12. The heel bone; the largest bone in the foot.
- 15. A bony prominence that develops at the base of the big toe, often causing the toe to angle toward the other toes.
