  1. 3. The notes written on the piece of music telling the player what they’re supposed to play.
  2. 5. A much quicker form of musical timing; this will cut common time signatures in half.

  1. 1. A time signature where the musician has three notes per beat rather than 1-2.

  3. 4. The numbers on the sheet music showing the musician how many beats are in each measure. The top shows how many and the bottom shows what kind.
  4. 8. A music note that looks like an “X”, usually indicating the player to hit a cymbal or the rim of their drum.
