Across
  1. 3. onset: 1st- sudden subsequent - gradual. pain: dull ache worse with pupil constriction (photopic). Vision: decreased. pupils: poor light response may be distorted. risk factors: 20+ age (90% of cases) linked with inflammatory conditions. hyperaemia: cilliary injection (deep around limbus). cornea: keratic precipitates on endothelium. AC: cells and or flare other: possible iris synechiae / nodules
  2. 4. onset: sudden with history of intermittent attacks in 50% of patients. Pain: severe ocular and periocular pain. Vision: rapid impairment. Pupils: fixed, mid dilated. Risk factors: M:F ratio 3:1, east Asian ethnicity, short axial length and hyperopia, family history, increased age, drug induced mydriatics, surgery induced. Hyperaemia moderate to severe. Cornea: oedema. AC: normal cells/flare sometimes present. IOP: significantly raised (40-80mmHg). Other: epiphora/lacrimation, photophobia, nausea/vomitting, coloured haloes around lights, closed a/c angle confirms diagnosis, oedematous OD
  3. 6. infection of the cornea caused by bacteria symptoms include: severe pain, lacrimation, photophobia with reduced vision depending on extent of corneal damage. signs inc: significant diffuse bulbar hyperamia lid oedem, large focal/ diffuse infiltrate staining in the anterior to md stromal cornea
Down
  1. 1. inflammatory reaction of the cornea. sympt: none/ mild discomfort/ photophobia/ lacrimation. conjunctival hyperaemia: sectoral bulbar and or limbal. lids: possible lid margin disease. cornea: single/multiple small, round, peripheral/ mid-peripheral infiltrates, no staining, affects epithelium possibly anterior stroma. vision: normal
  2. 2. inflammatory reaction of the cornea. sympt: none/ mild discomfort, photphobia, lacrimation. conjunctival hyperaemia: sectorial bulbar and or limbal. lids: possible lid margin disease. Cornea: single, small peripheral infiltrate. circular, defined infiltrate clear cornea between ulcer and limbus, possible staining, affects epithelium, possible anterior stroma. vision: normal
  3. 5. inflammatory reaction of the cornea and conjunctiva following a period of eye closure with CL wear caused by endotoxins from gram negative bacteria (sterile). sympt: moderate pain, lacrimation, photophobia. conjunctival hyperaemia: diffuse bulbar. lids: normal. cornea: small mid-peripheral infiltrates, no staining, affects epithelium without ulceration. vision: normal
