4. Antoinette- An Austrian princess who married Louis XVI. She was known for her elaborate parties, hairstyles, diet, and life style.

14. Right- The belief of Louis XVI that he had the right to rule to and govern the people, being set in place by God.

1. A ‘humane’ way of execution that didn’t differentiate between social class. Joseph Guillotine is the man who introduced the idea with the first formal execution being on April 25, 1792.
3. the very elaborately decorated palace built by Louis XIV that later was the home of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. It is located 20 km from Paris
5. Monarchy- When the King has total and complete control over all things in the country, usually involving many taxes.
7. XVI- The ‘last’ king of France who was beheaded in 1793, marking the end of the monarchy.
12. Bonaparte- The French military officer who took charge of the French revolutionaries nearing he end of the Reign of Terrors, leading them through a series of wars around Europe shortly after.
