- 1. One step beneath Dork. (It's arguable that I've gotten this backwards.)
- 5. The act of hanging out at a spawn spot, either where monsters spawn or where new players spawn, for the purpose of getting an easy kill.
- 6. A problem, usually one that can be fixed by changing some code.
- 8. A game that involves exploration, character interaction, story, and puzzle solving. Different from an RPG in that the adventure game usually does not include "hit points" or fighting.
- 9. NonPlayer Character. A game character not under the direct control of the end user, usually controlled by the game's A.I.
- 11. A type of player who finds loopholes in game rules and features so he can use them to his advantage.

- 2. A practice gamers engage in to collect a game commodity such as in game gold. Some players farm gold and then sell it online to other players.
- 3. Person who uses software without paying for it, or who copies software without permission of the software owner.
- 4. Short for "source code," that which a programmer creates.
- 5. Central processing unit (the brain of a computer or game console or mobile device).
- 6. A term used for a phase of development in the process of making an electronic game.
- 7. A person who is facile with games. Especially, someone who plays games professionally.
- 8. Any game that requires fast reflexes on the part of the player.
- 10. A truncated version of a game, intended to entice players to shell out their hard-earned bucks to buy the full version.
- 12. Video games are usually broken into bitesize chunks called "levels," "stages," or "missions." Different games may refer to these as "worlds."
