2. surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.
4. Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
6. I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things.
10. Unless the LORD Almighty had left us some survivors, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah.
12. Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.
14. Come, all you beasts of the field, come and devour, all you beasts of the forest!
17. Daughter Zion is left like a shelter in a vineyard, like a hut in a field of melons, like a city under siege.
18. Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.
20. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever."

1. Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you."
3. See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind."
5. And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory."
7. But the LORD has strengthened Rezin's foes against them and has spurred their enemies on.

11. A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
13. eek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
15. I will sing for the one I love a song about his vineyard: My loved one had a vineyard on a fertile hillside.
16. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear
19. See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.
