  1. 1. can cause bone pain;pain meds as needed;offer warm compresses; only compatible with D5 flush before and after .
  2. 2. administer with pt lying down flat;monitor BP every 3-5 min during infusion.Hypotension often occurs towards the end of the infusion. Have NS bolus available at bedside.
