- 2. A large mostly flat area of land, such as North China Plain or Great Plains in the US

- 1. A narrow valley with steeply sloped sides that appear similar to the letter "V" from a cross-section. It is created by a river or a stream.
- 3. A hill of sand created by wind or water. Usually found in deserts or along the coast.
- 5. A chain or group of islands scattered in the ocean. For example Hawaii, Galapagos Islands etc.
- 7. A tall, flat-topped, steep-sided tower of rock. It is created through the process of erosion.

- 14. A wide and steep hill or mountain with a flat top. Mesa is a Spanish word that means table.
- 16. Part of an ocean or sea extending into the land, for example Gulf of Mexico or Persian Gulf
- 17. Body of water that is separated from the sea by sandbars, barrier reefs, coral reefs, or other natural barriers.
- 20. A body of land surrounded by water, such as Greenland, Madagascar, Iceland etc.
