- 15. You could assess this cranial nerve on a newborn if in response to pain, they startle or cry
- 16. Cranial Nerve Twelve- Serves muscles of the tongue

- 1. Cold Calorics- Ice water instilled into ear canal should cause nystagmus of ocular deviation
- 3. A patient has this GCS if they localize pain, open their eyes to verbal stimulus and cries consolably
- 4. decreased pulse, increased systolic blood pressure and widened pulse pressure
- 5. stroking the bottom of the foot elicits fanning of the big toe. This is abnormal after a patient can walk
- 6. A patient has this GCS if they Follow Commands/Move spontaneously, Open eyes Spontaneously, and have no verbal response
- 8. This is involuntary back and forth movement of eyes, which is normal until 10 days of life
- 9. Patient will grasp object placed in hand. Usually disappears by 6 to 12 months of age
- 10. Dolls Eyes- can do only if C-spine is cleared
