  1. 2. Indicates important words. They are darker and thicker than the surrounding text. They are often vocabulary words found in the glossary.

  12. 22. Located at the end of the book. Helps a reader quickly find a certain topic in the book.
  13. 23. Found in the glossary, it indicates the first and last word on the glossary page.

  8. 12. Indicates important information. These words are slanted, whereas the rest of the text is straight up and down.

  10. 15. An image that shows the reader the inside of something.
