Across
- 3. Means greens; from a Greek word “karpos” - a fresh raw vegetable. Eating a vegetable (often parsley or celery) dipped in salt water, symbolizing the tears shed during slavery in Egypt.
- 4. Lachem means “bread” and ha means “the”; it is referred to as the "bread of affliction."
- 6. Means “preacher”, the Passover story.
- 8. Means “praise.” It is the reading or singing of Psalms 113-118.
- 9. Means “divided.” Breaking the middle matzah.
- 10. The cup of wine that is reserved for Messiah when he comes. This is when we drink the fourth cup of wine called “the cup of restoration.”
- 11. Means “blessing.”
- 13. Means “wash or cleanse”, the second washing of the hands, done with a blessing.
- 15. Motzee means “bring out”, the blessing and distribution of the broken middle matzah.
- 16. It means “it would have been sufficient.”
- 17. Means “sanctification.” The blessing over wine to sanctify the holiday. When we drink the first cup of wine called “the cup of sanctification.”

- 1. The prayer after the meal. When we drink the third cup of wine, the “cup of redemption.”
- 2. Means “and wash”, rachatz, which we will see later means “washing”. In Aramaic it means “trusting.” The first washing of the hands.
- 4. The candle lighting.
- 5. Means “combine,” eating matzah with moror and then with moror and charoset.
- 7. "Set table"; the Passover dinner.
- 12. Means "acceptance." The closing of the Seder.
- 14. Means “hidden”, the finding and eating of the middle matzah called the afikomen.
