3. A press-moulded clay piece/motif added to leather-hard work.
5. A porous plaster former used to shape clay. Hump or drop-out.
6. Natural colourant and ingredient in glazes and slips.
7. A mixture of clay and water, sometimes called joining slip.
8. A layer of glass which coats bisquware for decorative and functional reasons. Can be brushed on or dipped.
10. Pottery pieces before firing.
11. Low fired ceramics (around 1030-1080C)

1. A design drawn or carved through a slip decorated surface.
2. A mixture of clay, water and colour for decorating the leatherhard clay surface.
3. High fired ceramics (around 1230-1280C) with good strength and non-porous.
4. Bright colours that are painted underneath a glaze. They can be painted onto greenware or bisque pieces.
9. Low firing, porous clay with red iron content, used for garden pots.
