- 2. a report or description of an event or experience
- 5. the vantage point from which a story is told. (You can ask yourself, who is telling the story: is the narrator a character IN the story, or simply an outside observer?)

- 3. This narrator is not a character in the story, but is an all-knowing reporter about every event (past,present, or future) and every character. This omniscient narrator knows inside the mind of EVERY character and can share all of their thoughts and feelings.
- 4. The narrator tells the story but is not a part of the story. This narrator CAN NOT tell the thoughts and feelings of ANY characters, and can only report what the characters do and say. Sample clue words: “He, she, they, him, herself..etc.”
- 6. also known as the speaker is the one that is telling the story, play, or poem
- 10. the way YOU view a situation, person, place, or event. This is based on your own `personal experiences, bias, your culture, and schema.
