- 2. A huge storm that Timothy And Philip encounter on their Cay.
- 3. To feel around blindly. Philip does this before digging a grave for Timothy.
- 6. Sailing vessel that has at least 2 masts. These boats are used in Curacao as transport.
- 8. A kind of factory that processes crude substances. Curacao is famous for its oil which is kept in these structures.
- 11. Closing all the curtains and turning off the lights to not get bombed by missiles. Curacao does this so that German Submarines don't know where they are.
- 13. To conceal or cover something. The dark smoke does this to the rock's spelling help.
- 15. Doing something in a very cautious and careful manner. Philip touches his wrist while feeling this.
- 16. To brag or boast. Timothy does this after catching 2 lobsters.
- 18. A piece of wood. Philip gets hit by this on the head while the Hato was sinking.
