- 17. Types of these include geothermal, solar, tidal, hydro, and wind.
- 19. This is the study of patterns.
- 22. This type of impact has a bad effect on something. In math, this would be a number below zero.
- 24. This is a highly automated process using sophisticated materials, quality, and management.
- 27. This is human innovation that involves solving problems in order to extend human capabilities.
- 29. A major invention during this time period was the steam engine. Factories, Eli Whitney's interchangeable parts, and Henry Ford's assembly line.
- 31. This is the rate of doing work.
- 32. This was a time that arts and humanities flourished. Leonardo da Vinci and others created many inventions including the screwdriver, submarine, and telescope.
- 33. This is someone who is able to use, manage, understand, and access technology.
- 34. These are impacts that we knew would happen. They were not a surprise.
- 35. This is the traditions and beliefs of a group that share a heritage or religion.
- 37. These are impacts that we did not know would happen. They were a surprise.
- 38. This is the process of designing, transmitting, and receiving information.

- 40. This is producing a product ON THE SITE WHERE IT IS TO BE USED.
- 41. This is the moving or people and cargo from one location to another.
- 44. This is the 2nd step in the Universal Systems Model. It's where the "action" is.

- 1. This type of impact has a good effect on something. In math, this would be a number above zero.
- 2. This is the study of the natural world.
- 4. This is the student organization for the trades classes.
- 5. Major inventions during this time period included paper money and the printing press.
- 6. This is something we do not want.
- 7. This is the 1st step in the Universal Systems Model. It has 7 resources that are put into the system.
- 10. During this time period, people lived and worked on farms. It took a lot of labor.
- 11. This is the school subject that educates students in standardized industry processes related to concepts, layouts, design, materials, production, etc.
- 12. This is the 3rd step in the Universal Systems Model. It is the actual result that you get from the system.
- 13. This is our laws; how we govern ourselves.
- 14. This is when students are prepared to be both competent workers in jobs related to their T&I classes and are able to enter a 2-year or 4-year college.
- 16. This is when one thing has an effect on other things.
- 18. This time period brought about the integrated circuit, computers, the Internet, space shuttle, and biotechnology. The most technological advancements happened during this time.
- 20. This is when people use math and science to analyze, predict, and optimize designs as solutions to technological problems.
- 21. This is the making of a product in a plant or facility which is DIFFERENT than the location where the product will be used.
- 23. This happens when a force is exerted on an object over a distance.
- 25. This is the last step in the Universal Systems Model. It is the evaluation of your system and should help you improve.
- 26. This is the business and money that run a country. Example: The assembly line enabled various products to be mass-produced and, therefore, cheaper for the public to buy.
