- 3. At an angle across the bone
- 5. It may be due to trauma or due to a weakening of the vertebra

- 1. An incomplete fracture in which the bone is bent. Occurs most often in children

- 6. Encircles the bone
- 7. Break through one cortex
- 9. A fracture that does not break through the skin
