- 2. Toolbar The Quick Access Toolbar is a customization toolbar that contains a set of commands that are independent of the tab on the ribbon that is currently displayed. You can move the Quick Access Toolbar from one of the two possible locations, and you can add buttons that represent commands to the Quick Access Toolbar.
- 6. screen tip A graphical user interface (GUI) feature in which a small text box appears when a mouse pointer is hovered over an icon or button. The pop-up window will provide details that explain the icon's or button's function. In some instances, though, the ScreenTip will display only the item's name.

- 3. point In graphics-based programs, the insertion point is the point where the next characters typed from the keyboard will appear on the display screen. The insertion point is usually represented by a blinking vertical line. You can reposition the insertion point by pressing arrow keys or by moving the I-beam pointer.
- 4. a girder that has the shape of an I when viewed in section.
- 5. a long, narrow strip of fabric, used especially for tying something or for decoration.
- 7. a shaped piece of metal, wood, card, plastic, or other material used as a pattern for processes such as painting, cutting out, shaping, or drilling.

- 9. box launcher A dialog box launcher is a small icon that appears in a group. Users click this icon to open related dialog boxes or task panes that provide more options that relate to the group.

- 20. printing characters The Show-Hide non-printing characters button will toggle display. In Word 97-2003, it is on right end of the Standard toolbar between the Document Map button and the Zoom drop-down. In Word 2007-2013 it is in the Paragraph group on the Home tab.
