  1. 4. I saw eight sets of fireworks from one location on July 4 .... but the best display was a metropolis of fireflies.
  2. 5. "don't be scared of anything that would not happen in the future" - my academic sibling when the rollercoaster broke down after we got to the front of the line (twice)
  3. 8. I've run over 100 miles so far this summer!
  4. 9. We ran out of eggs during my Cooking camp - we collected some from the Wingra chickens and baked our cake with them!

  6. 11. I hiked the Northern Ireland coast the week of solstice. Couldn't stay awake long enough to see the sunset!

  1. 1. I spent 5 weeks in NYC
  2. 2. The World Cup was our family's full time summer job! We attended a live onboarding session at Seattle Stadium, and then worked remote from the couch (the desk chair, the dinner table, the beach...) for the rest of the month.
  3. 3. I have officially scheduled my dissertation defense date!
  4. 6. I went to Mexico with my cousin!
  5. 7. I spent 4 days in a house with 24 people, and it was the best weekend of my summer!
