- 1. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
- 5. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- 7. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- 9. The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
- 10. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
- 12. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
- 13. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
- 16. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
- 18. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
- 20. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
- 22. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
- 25. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
- 28. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
- 30. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
- 31. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
- 33. not by works, so that no one can boast.
- 37. But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,
- 40. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
- 41. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
- 42. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

- 2. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
- 3. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
- 4. Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
- 6. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
- 8. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
- 11. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- 14. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
- 15. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
- 17. “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
- 19. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
- 21. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;
- 23. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
- 24. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
- 26. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
- 27. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
- 29. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- 32. Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
- 34. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
- 35. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
- 36. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- 38. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
- 39. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
