- 13. Similar to a 1095-c, this form is provided by the Medical Coverage provider containing Enrollment info for Fully Insured plans.
- 15. This is the unique identifier for a company that is provided by the IRS for companies to report taxes, ACA and a variety of other reporting needs. This is essentially the Social Security Number but for a business.
- 16. This refers to an employer that employs at least 50 full time employees, including full time equivalents, for the calendar year. There is a 1:1 relationship between this entity and its FEIN. This is the Filing Entity of ACA.
- 18. This is who supports our Swarms and is also referred to as Tier 2 support. We partner with this team when we have exhausted our resources resolving an issue.
- 21. This refers to a medium sized company that is a UKG customer and is our most common customer type between Enterprise, Mid-Market and Strategic.
- 22. This is a synonym for the exchange and refers to the public option to receive healthcare from the government, usually through a state specific organization. In California, it is called Covered California.
- 23. This is the field that in SQL (The database portion of the system) that is how UKG is able to have a unique identifier in the system for a particular employee of a company. This helps identify specific employees in the system even though employees may share a name, date of birth or other information. Necessary for imports and helpful for research.
- 24. The smallest category of customers, which have less than 500 employees.
- 26. Acronym for Full Time Employee
- 27. This is the acronym for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act
- 28. This is an acronym for our system of knowledge that exists within Salesforce and the Learning center, features articles about how the system works and how to troubleshoot issues.
- 30. This is usually the first 4 characters of an ALE name. This is given to businesses by the IRS when applying for a FEIN and is required for ACA filing.
- 31. An Aggregated Group of Applicable Large Employer Members under common control, each ALE Member will have a Unique EIN but this entity does not have it’s own EIN.

- 1. This refers to our UKG teams who help code/build the product and apply fixes to any issues we find in it, or adjust the product to be compliant with regulations as they change.
- 2. This is similar to a 1095-c but instead of coming from an employer it is coming from the State Healthcare Exchange.
- 4. This refers to anyone who is currently enrolled in a medical plan and specifically those who are listed in Part 3 of the 1095-c.
- 6. This is an acronym for the metric of ACA that defines if the ALE has satisfied the ACA requirement to offer an affordable medical plan to 95% of FT EE’s. It will be indicated as a YES if > or = to 95% and NO if < 95%. Found on the 1094-c.
- 7. This refers to the standard payroll and hr product that UKG offers to its customers. It allows customers to have employee profiles, run payrolls, and the ability to hire/term/other HR related functions. It can also refer to the team which supports these products.
- 9. This acronym refers to a unique identifier in Salesforce. These will typically follow a format of 3 letters and four numbers, as an example USG1000.
- 10. This is a tool for us as UKG employees to know which environment a customers data exists in and provides a URL for us to access this environment when necessary.
- 11. This is a way of allowing customers to make a change active on a particular date moving forward, and can be done for dates in the future or the past.
- 14. This is the acronym for the system formerly known as Benefits Prime, which is a separate system that is integrated with UKGpro to provide more robust options for benefits than standard Core functionality.
- 17. This is the acronym for the application that comes standard with Core Functionality that focuses con custom reporting, allowing customers to build their own customer reports as well as access their data in new formats using premade reports.
- 19. This is our CRM software that we use to house customer accounts, contacts and cases. This tool is the centerpiece for how we support our customers and is commonly referred to by a two letter acronym.
- 20. This is the knowledge resource for customers that contains KCS Articles, Helpful Videos and Content for ACA that our customers can access themselves
- 25. This is the functionality in the system that allows customers to configure, generate and validate ACA data in the system. This is included in standard CORE functionality.
- 29. This is a way to extend medical benefits from your employer after termination from the company. This is usually at a significant cost to the former employee, especially compared to the cost when the employer contributes as is outline in ACA regulations.
- 32. This acronym represents an agreement between the customer and UKG regarding how quickly a case should be contacted.
