Biblical People & Places (part 1)

2. A tower people tried to build to reach heaven and make a name for themselves. God confused their languages and scattered them across the earth.
3. One of Jacob’s sons. He was sold into slavery by his brothers but later became a powerful leader in Egypt and saved his family from famine.
5. Abraham’s grandson and Isaac’s son. God later renamed him Israel, and his twelve sons became the twelve tribes of Israel.
6. One of Noah’s sons. Many biblical families, including Abraham’s, came from Shem’s family line.
7. Another son of Noah. His descendants settled in parts of Africa and nearby regions.
9. The title given to the kings of Egypt. The Pharaoh during Moses’ time refused to free the Israelites until God sent plagues.
10. A mountain where God gave Moses the Ten Commandments and made a covenant with the Israelites.
12. A powerful ancient kingdom. The Israelites lived there as slaves before God led them out through Moses.
13. A leader chosen by God to free the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. God used Moses to deliver the Ten Commandments.

1. A man chosen by God to start a great nation. God promised Abraham land, descendants, and blessings for the whole world.
3. Noah’s third son. His descendants spread into Europe and other distant lands.
4. A righteous man chosen by God to build an ark. Noah, his family, and animals were saved from a great flood.
8. Moses’ brother. He helped Moses speak to Pharaoh and became the first high priest of Israel.
11. The first man created by God. Adam lived in the Garden of Eden and was created to care for God’s creation.
12. The first woman, created by God to be Adam’s companion. She also lived in the Garden of Eden.
