  6. 11. This house serves the community through volunteer work on campus and in Schenectady. Each house member is required to complete 20 hours of community service a term. It is behind the Admissions Office at Grant Hall and houses 20 students, the most number of students out of all theme houses.
  7. 12. This house is a community committed to expression of creativity through movement, established last year.
  8. 13. This house is named after a 19th century English novelist and celebrates residents’ love of literature, learning, and reading.

  1. 1. Established in 1985, this house the highlights multicultural communities on campus. It strives to raise awareness of the diverse cultures and ethnic groups that make up the campus community. Also known as a multicultural center, it is located next to Breazzano House and the Office of Admissions at Grant Hall.
  2. 3. This house was founded to create a stress-free and relaxing environment on Union's campus. Members of the house strive to maintain balanced lifestyles, encourage mindfulness, and promote serenity.
  3. 5. This house was one of the first theme houses on campus, offering dinner and discussion with a focus on political and social awareness. Residents foster an intellectual forum in which faculty and students can openly converse and cultivate a social atmosphere based on discussion, dialogue and honesty.
  4. 6. The goal of this house is to aid innovative students who are passionate about making their ideas and designs into a physical reality. This house encourages all forms of making; whether it be sewing, welding, woodworking, cooking, etc., we thrive on cross collaboration between these seemingly unrelated interests.
  5. 10. This house was founded last year, and is focused on bringing an immersive experience to those interested in film and media.
