  2. 7. The distance of a number from zero
  3. 8. A pattern that you can cut and fold to make a model of a solid shape.
  4. 9. The "middle" of a sorted list of numbers when sorted least to greatest
  5. 15. In Algebra a term is either a single number or variable, or numbers and variables multiplied together.
  6. 16. A number that can be multiplied by another factor to get a product.
  7. 20. Multiplying a number by a group of numbers added together is the same as doing each multiplication separately.
  8. 22. P/E M/D A/S
  9. 23. The line on a graph that runs horizontally (left-right) through zero.
  10. 24. When the slope of an equation or line is equal to zero
  11. 25. Groups numbers into ranges. The height of each bar shows how many fall into each range.
  12. 26. A symbol for a value we don't know yet. It is usually a letter like x or y.
Down
  1. 1. The total area of the surface of a three-dimensional object.

  3. 4. When a quantity varies directly as the product of two or more quantities.
  4. 5. The line on a graph that runs vertically (top-bottom) through zero.
  5. 6. The greatest number that is a factor of all chosen numbers
  6. 10. We see that 1-out-of-3 is equal to 2-out-of-6 The ratios are the same, so they are in proportion.
  7. 11. The number placed before the variable in an expression.
  8. 12. A number with no fractional part (no decimals).
  9. 13. Any of the 4 areas made when we divide up a plane by an x and y axis

  14. 21. Shorter way of multiplying a number by itself, by putting the number of times you are multiplying a number by itself to the top right of the number.
