  1. 2. Material Safety Data Sheet=> form containing data regarding the properties of a particular substance with procedures for handling or working with that substance in a safe manner; includes information such as melting point, boiling point, flash point, toxicity, health effects, first aid, reactivity, storage, disposal, protective equipment, spill handling procedures and first aid.
  2. 3. The numbered rows of the periodic table. Numbers indicate the number energy levels (shells) for an atom.
  3. 4. Any substance present initially in a chemical reaction found to the left of the yield sign.
  4. 5. A positively charged subatomic particle that determines an element’s identity.
  5. 6. A change in a substance that does not involve a chemical reaction, so no new substance is formed.
  6. 7. Elements located to the right of the zigzag line on the periodic table. These are generally poor conductors.
  7. 8. The dense center of an atom containing the protons and neutrons.
  8. 9. The resulting substances in a chemical reaction found to the right of the yield sign.

  1. 1. Particles smaller than an atom that combine to form an atom.
  2. 5. The formation of a solid in a solution during a chemical reaction.
