6. (also known as a straightening comb) is a metal comb that is used to straighten moderate or coarse hair and create a smoother hair texture. It is heated and used to straighten the hair from the roots. It can be placed directly on the source of heat or it may be electrically heated.
7. Received U.S. patent #1,362,823 on December 21, 1920 for an improved comb that straightened hair. According to this person, they patent and invented a heated comb that removed kinks from the hair.
9. Was born in 1926 is a teacher, writer and inventor. Is best known for the invention of the portable nursery chair. Patented on Feb 09,1960.
10. Was granted a patent for "a more efficient pressing and curling iron." This person was a black hairdresser who was apparently fed up enough with lackluster hair curling products that decided to swoop in and save us all. She DID NOT INVENT ONLY PATENTED!

Around 1753 at about the age of 21, this inventor reportedly completed a wooden clock that struck on the hour & appears to have modeled his clock from a borrowed pocket watch by carving each piece to scale.
