Across
- 1. Stands for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition. It includes data storage, operation, surveillance, analysis and remote monitoring of a wind farm.
- 4. Combined CWE and SCADA Box, does not contain a Nordex OS System.
- 7. This is the combined wind farm management and electrical system. It records performance data at the wind farm’s grid connection point (GCP) and regulates required grid sizes by setting suitable setpoints for the WTG. At least one of these is required for each wind farm, which enables the connection of max. 60 WTs via network connections.
- 9. IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) platform which makes it possible to network physical and virtual objects with each other and get them to work together through information and communication technologies.
- 10. Stands for Customer Interface. Allows customers to monitor and control their wind farm via OPC XML-DA. Before the implementation of Nordex OS, it was a separate server, while now it is included as a Virtual Machine inside the Nordex OS SCADA Edge server.
Down
- 2. The ECC must be connected to the Internet through this Central Router.
- 3. Decentral Measurement and Communication unit. If ECC cannot be installed at the Point of Coupling, a this small cabinet is installed directly at the Point of Coupling to measure voltage and current from wind power before the open grid.
- 5. Edge SCADA Interface for Nordex Turbines. Its functions are data storage, operation and visualization, alarm management, alarm and measured value history, and reporting for each individual WT, WT components, and WF components.
- 6. Stands for Substation Contorl General System. Its function is similar to the CWE but for N155 turbines.
- 8. The components of the CWE, Nordex wind farm control system, and Nordex OS SCADA system are installed combined to each other inside this cabinet. It is located in the custoner's own transfer station and tranfsormer substation.
