- 7. A weekend getaway with friends to the land of fire and ice. We enjoyed waterfalls, hot springs, a glacier and a black sand beach. The food, drink and company was also top notch (May)

- 10. This trip started with an 18-hour tour of MSP due to the CrowdStrike software glitch, ended with a visit at Kari & Joanne's and in the middle -- lots of beauty. We biked, hiked and ziplined, saw whales and made friends with the bartenders (July)
- 11. A girlfriend trip on a houseboat with just barely enough food to get us through five days (NOT). This national park is full of lakes, eagles, otters, turtles and baby ducks (August)
- 14. Third annual trip for Kirsten to this destination, enjoying a week with friends and my Danish family. We took in a National's game, visited monuments, met friends, heard Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson speak and toured Lincoln's Cottage (September)
- 15. A relaxing girls weekend near this Minnesota summer hot spot. We boated, rode jet skies but mostly just had a great time hanging out together (September)
- 16. Ethan and his friends traveled here and we unfortunately don't know anything about it because what happens here, stays here (October)

- 1. Abbe's getaway to visit a friend working in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (August)
- 2. A quick flight here and then a long drive home, picking Abbe up from her gap year job. She moved to RMNP with just 1 suitcase and 1 carryon and somehow we filled a Ford Explorer to the hilt moving her back home (April)
- 3. Girlfriend trip with sightings of dolphins and manatee (February)
- 4. A bucket list natural wonder that we saw from two different countries. We toured an old power plant, went to some vineyards to try ice wine, got soaked several times and then headed to Buffalo where we enjoyed some Frank Lloyd Wright architecture at the Martin House (October)
- 6. Darryl's annual trip with the guys to watch Big Ten football at his alma mater (September)
- 8. Winter hiking with Dana and unbeatable lodging at the YMCA of the Rockies where we ran into our favorite housekeeper, Abbe Johnson (February)
- 12. A Spring Break roadtrip with Ethan to this state, where our favorite Christmas movie museum is located. We also took in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame and a very fun night trying to Escape from an Escape Room (March)
- 13. A quick 24-hour stay in this favorite city with friends to see Nathaniel Rateliff at the Xcel Energy Center (November)
- 17. A visit with my aunt and uncle during a nor'easter. I really enjoyed the pace of retired life with two of my favorite retirees (April)
