11. Doing something in a very cautious and careful manner. Philip touches his wrist while feeling this.
13. Huge ships covered by metal that travel underwater. Curacao is under attack from these ships.
15. Closing all the curtains and turning off the lights to not get bombed by missiles. Curacao does this so that German Submarines don't know where they are.
17. A huge storm that Timothy And Philip encounter on their Cay.

19. A vehicle that carries liquids. Curacao uses these to transport oil from and to refineries.

1. Calculating where you are and where you want to go. Philip and Timothy use this to try and find out where they are and where the steer the raft.
2. A kind of factory that processes crude substances. Curacao is famous for its oil which is kept in these structures.
3. A kind of predatory fish found in the Caribbean. Timothy tells Philip that this fish might be in the fishing hold but that they weren't usually aggressive.
5. A kind of lobster native to the Caribbean that Philip and Timothy eat.
6. A piece of wood. Philip gets hit by this on the head while the Hato was sinking.
9. The area where Timothy and Philip's cay is in the ocean.
12. A very violent and windy storm that Timothy calls the hurricane when it hits.
13. Sailing vessel that has at least 2 masts. These boats are used in Curacao as transport.
14. A small island surrounded by coral and only a few inches over sea level. This is where Timothy and Philip are stranded.
16. To feel around blindly. Philip does this before digging a grave for Timothy.
