Across
- 3. Also called thermal energy. Jumpers, shirts, skirts, trousers, ski coats, jeans, dresses - always prepared.
- 4. Found in batteries, food & fuel. Fizzle, bang, pop! Ha! The liquids turned orange! Maybe we'll try that _________ next and see if we can make it turn purple!
- 6. Stored energy in squashed or stretched objects/materials. Remember that tug and struggle whilst trying to hold back the elastic of your slingshot while pointing it at your friends head? Yeah, it's that.
- 9. Found in the nuclei of atoms and is released through fusion or fission. Can't really think of my own clue for this one... think of middle & control. That's the best that I can do.
- 10. The energy in magnets and electromagnets. Don't think about it too hard.
Down
- 1. Stored in high risen objects. The further up you get, the more you get!
- 2. The energy in moving objects. Think. Hard. Maybe even try moving around to get your thoughts going (see what I did there?!).
- 5. It's responsible for the sense of sight. Also called radiant energy. "Ow!" *shuts eyes* "My eyes! It burns!"
- 7. Energy in moving or static electric charges. Think of circuits, plugs, microwaves & the TV!
- 8. Energy released by vibrating objects. Music, scratching, flute, drums, humming, talking, car engine, piano. We all make quite a lot of this every day.
