- 4. Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
- 7. The Lord brought me forth as the first of his works, before his deeds of old; I was formed long ages ago, at the very beginning, when the world came to be.
- 8. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
- 9. The dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
