Types of Clouds

2. Large clouds with dark bases and tall billowing towers that can have sharp well defined edges or an anvil shape at the top.
4. High clouds, light gray or white, often thin with the Sun or Moon seen through them.
7. High clouds with a puffy, patchy appearance and small spaces between clouds.
8. Low clouds that appear puffy and look like cotton balls, popcorn or cauliflower.
9. high clouds, thin wispy, and feathery, composed of ice crystals.
10. Low clouds, that are light or dark gray and generally uniform in appearance and cover most of the sky.
