Types of Wounds

3. Irregular tear-like wounds caused by blunt trauma
5. Chronic wounds that are caused by pressure and/or a shearing force

2. These generally occur on the feet as a result of poor circulation and nerve damage
4. Superficial wounds in which the epidermis is scraped off
6. Caused by a clean, sharp-edged object, such as a scalpel
7. Caused by damage to the blood vessels that in turn cause blood to collect under the skin
