2. VOTER – A voter who does not officially belong to any political party.
3. – A person who currently holds a political office.
4. – The body of voters in a specific district or area who elect a representative.
7. – The act of making a choice in an election or on a public issue.
8. – All the people who are eligible to vote in an election.
10. – The legal right to vote.
12. – Not connected to or biased toward any political party.
14. PLATFORM – A written statement of a political party’s beliefs, principles, and goals.

1. – A person chosen to represent others and vote on their behalf, often at a party convention.
5. VOTE – When a voter supports a candidate from a political party different from the one the voter usually supports.
6. ELECTION – An election in which voters choose from among candidates (usually from different parties) to decide who will hold public office.
9. COLLEGE – A group of representatives from each state who formally elect the President and Vice President of the United States.
11. – A person who is running for, or nominated to run for, a political office.
12. ELECTIONS – Elections in which candidates’ political party affiliations are not listed on the ballot.
13. ELECTION – An election in which voters choose a political party’s candidate who will run in the general election.
