- 1. My childhood pets included a guinea pig, 3 fish (one of which was a feeder fish, won from a carnival, which outlived the other two purchased from a pet store), a dog, 2 lizards, a rabbit, and 6 California desert tortoises.

- 11. I try and spend every New Years in a new location. This year, travel permitting, I’m hoping to be in Sydney, Australia.
- 14. My favorite book genre is non-fiction! Give me anything with lots of annotations and citations, and I’m down. My hobbies include: Playing piano, digging in the dirt, finding missing Lego pieces.
