Across
- She is the lady who has a magical ball that can show her anything in the universe. She showed Calvin, Meg and Charles the dark thing, but really did not want to show them because it was so sad. After that she showed the kids how Mrs. Whatsit, who was once a star, gave up her life fighting the dark thing, but she won. It was a horrible thing, the dark thing, but she explained how it could be destroyed. The Medium showed Calvin, Meg, and Charles what the dark thing was and helped them understand Mr. Murrys purpose for being there.
- This guy went on a very dangerous journey to fight the dark thing, and did not succeed, but his daughter got to save him. Also he was kept as a prisoner on the planet Camazotz. That is where Meg, Charles, and Calvin found him. The adventure he went on was a dangerous one, but he took the chance to help everyone on Earth. Back at home better than ever is where he ended up, and it was not such a bad place to be.
- He is a friend of Megs and is chosen to come along on a dangerous journey trying to save Mr. Murry. Along the way him and Meg become closer friends and everyone gets to know each other so well. He even volunteered to go save Charles instead of Meg doing it, but she had to do it. He was the chosen one to come on the adventure that was not in the Murry family. This brave guy was one of the reasons Mr. Murry was saved.
- She was one of the magical old ladies that could travel through the fifth dimension. Calvin, Meg, and Charles would not have made it out of Camazotz with father if it was not for her. She gave advice to each of the kids and Charles advice was to remember that he doesn’t know everything. To Meg she gave her glasses to use at last resort. Everyone should be thankful of Mrs. Which because without her everything would have fallen apart.
- This girl is failing all her classes, but still manages to go on this incredible mission and save her brother and father. Along the way she also makes some new friends, and becomes closer with others. She also almost died going through the dark thing, but did it again to save her little brother, Charles Wallace. Never underestimate this girl because she is unstoppable.
- This where Mrs. Murry does all of her science experiments and she also writes (or used to write) to Mr. Murry before he stopped responding. Even after he stopped responding she still sometimes wrote to him. No one is allowed in here, not even the kids. This is Mrs. Murrys happy place.
- She is 2,379,152,497 years old, but stronger than ever. This lady was once a star, but lost her life trying to fight the dark thing. She defeated it, but lost her life as a star doing so, so now here she is as a magical old lady. She figured out how to travel through the fifth dimension and managed to gather Calvin, and Meg to go out and save Mr. Murry. Also, she was the Tramp as everyone called her. She stole Mrs. Buncombe’s sheets, but that was her only regret. This wonderful lady save lots of people while risking hers, but is wonderful at doing so.
- She lived in the old “haunted” house with Mrs. Whatsit. She was right along with Mrs. Whatsit and Mrs. Which through the entire journey and helped Meg, Charles, and Calvin through lots of it. Without her Mr. Murry never would have been rescued. She also uses quotes when she talks a lot. Quotes that are in every language on Earth, it does not matter, if it is a good one she uses it. She quotes so much because she thinks it is hard to put everything in her own words, so she uses other people’s words.
- Denny and Sandy are the big boys of the Murry household. While Mr. Murry is away they tried to be the men of the household. Meg got in a fight at school, but the twins thought they should do all of the fighting. The twins were not involved in the many things such as the meeting of Mrs. Whatsit in the middle of the night and the crazy journey that Calvin, Charles Wallace, and Meg went on, but they wanted to be very badly. Now even though they want to be the men of the house watch out for these crazy and wild kids.
- This "dumb baby brother" just happens to be one of the smartest kids, but not just school smart. He knows all about these magical human creatures that have come to summon him, Meg, and Calvin to go on a dangerous adventure to save their father. This journey is like no other. They travel through the fifth dimension, and find out all about the dark thing. He was also taken by IT through the man on planet Camazotz, but luckily he has the best big sister ever. Meg, Charles older sister, risked her life and saved him from IT. Never judge this little boy by his size because he will blow you away.
- This is this is the planet that the IT is on, where Mr. Murry was captured and saved, and where the identical town is. This horrible planet does not let anybody do anything on his or her own, only things under IT. It’s also the planet that Meg, Charles, and Calvin were sent to by Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which, and Mrs. Whatsit. This planet out in the universe should be fixed before everyone has to live their whole lives under IT.
- He is from planet Camazotz and controlled by IT. He also turned Charles Wallace into IT by making Charles look through his eyes. His feast was a fake one, and tasted like sand to Charles. He tried convincing the kids that he was the good guy and they should not trust the Mrs. Who, Mrs. Whatsit, and Mrs. Which. Meg, and Calvin were smarter than that, but Charles was pulled in and captured by IT. This guy controlled by IT was a horrible man and all he meant was harm.
Down
- This was the person who stole all of Mrs. Buncombe’s sheets. It was Mrs. Whatsit all along though. She said that she just needed sheets, and thought Mrs. Buncombe could spare some. She was talked about everywhere in the town, and Meg overheard some people talking about her in the post office. It was not the right thing to do, but then again, she is a magical old lady.
- It is an awful thing hovering over Earth ready to destroy it, but being kept back by people and stars risking their life to fight against it. Stars just like Mrs. Whatsit die every minute from fighting it and so do humans. They go out on the mission not knowing if they will ever return, but doing it for the people on Earth. It is an awful thing that should be destroyed now.
- Central Intelligence: This is the tallest building in the city on Camazotz. All of the documents are held there and the offices that run everything are there. This is where the city is run from (all except IT). It is also where Meg, Calvin, and Charles went and saw the Man. Also it was where Mr. Murry was being held as a prisoner, but the kids saved him. That was also the spot where Charles was captures by IT. The whole city is run there, and if it was destroyed things would only be held together by IT.
- Traveling through the fifth dimension. It is way faster, and you can go anywhere in the universe. You will be anywhere you want in just seconds, but only do it with an experienced person. Meg, and Calvin did it with Mr. Murry, but Meg almost was killed. Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which can do this perfectly, and they are great at it. Learn to travel through the fifth dimension and you could be on a two-dimensional planet with the snap of your finger.
- The wife of Mr. Murry, and mother of four kids is going through a rough time. She is also a scientist and works in her laboratory stirring up concoctions. Her husband has been away for years and just months after him leaving he stopped writing letters. She worries about him very much, but never shows it in front of the kids. She keeps it together while with other people, but by herself she can let her feelings out.
- The Murry’s dog. He is a great loving dog and can protect anyone. Charles brought him along when he went to Mrs. Whatsit’s house for the first time. Also Meg insisted to bring him along when Charles, and her went to Mrs. Whatsits house. With this dog around you will always feel safe and never lonely.
- From a planet out in the universe this wonderful creature with many arms, tentacles, but no eyes managed to save Meg. After tesserring Meg was paralyzed for a little while and almost died, but she saved her. Also they helped decide that Meg had to go back Camazotz and save Charles. Her creatures are wonderful. She is caring, and very kind after finding humans on their planet instead of hurting them she helped save them. She is a wonderful, caring creature that should be remembered by everone.
- A brain that controls many people. They are told what to say, and what to do. That person no longer has any control over any part of its body. It controls a whole city on Camazotz and makes every person do the same thing every second of the day. All the kids bounce the ball at the same time and jump over there rope at the same time. It can make you do things not imaginable, but it is possible to be resisted as Mr. Murry, Meg and Calvin figured out. Not only does it control your body, but this horrible thing takes your mind too, and should be stopped.
20 Clues: This where Mrs. Murry does all of her science experiments and she also writes (or used to write) to Mr. Murry before he stopped responding. Even after he stopped responding she still sometimes wrote to him. No one is allowed in here, not even the kids. This is Mrs. Murrys happy place. • ...
