  1. 3. A member of the dais that moderates debate, keeps time, rules on points and motions, and enforces the rules of procedure. AKA the moderator.

  1. 1. A group of countries in a similar geographical region with a similar opinion on a particular topic.
  2. 2. A break in formal debate in which countries can more easily and informally discuss a topic.
  3. 4. A change to the draft resolution on the floor. Two types: 1) Friendly: supported by sponsors and passed automatically or 2) Unfriendly: Not supported by sponsors and must be voted on by the committee.
  4. 5. A student acting as a representative of a member state or observer of MUN.
  5. 7. Having legal force in UN member states. The ICJ and Security Council decisions are binding.
  6. 9. A piece of cardstock with a country's name on it that a delegate raises in the air to speak or vote.
  7. 11. A request made by a delegate that the committee, as a whole, will do something.
