In the wake of, and in response to her disappearance, the Vermont Legislature created the Vermont State Police.
- The nickname given to a football player said to have died mid-game in 1935 and haunted the Lambertville High School in Lambertville, New Jersey for years until its eventual demolition in 2012. Legend has it that teenagers who trespassed on the school grounds and challenged the ghost football player would either go missing or the ghost would snap their necks like his was snapped when he was tackled all those years ago.
