- Untuk menjamin kesesuaian dan efektivitas penerapan SMK3, pengusaha wajib melakukan (peninjauan) ulang
- Langkah kedua dalam menerapkan smk3 adalah (perencanaan)
- Sesuai PP No.50 tahun 2012 Pasal 16 Ayat (1), penilaian penerapan SMK3 dilakukan oleh lembaga audit (independen) yang ditunjuk oleh Menteri atas permohonan perusahaan
- Pada smk3, untuk menyusun rencana k3 pengusaha harus mempertimbangkan hasil (penelaah) awal
- Pengawasan SMK3 dilakukan oleh (pengawas) ketenaga-kerjaan pusat, provinsi dan/atau kabupaten/kota sesuai dengan kewenangannya
- Penilaian penerapan SMK3 berdasarkan pp 50 th 2012 tentang smk3 ini dilakukan terhadap perusahaan yang mempunyai potensi bahaya (tinggi) antara lain perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pertambangan, minyak dan gas bumi
- Pada pasal 21 pp 50 th 2012 tentang penerapan SMK3 Pada saat Peraturan Pemerintah ini mulai berlaku, Perusahaan yang telah menerapkan SMK3 , wajib menyesuaikan dengan ketentuan Peraturan Pemerintah ini, paling lama (satu) tahun
